(TargetDailyNews.com) – Republican James Comer of Kentucky wants answers about whether President Joe Biden’s doctor was involved with what he calls “Biden family influence-peddling.”
As the chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, Comer is asking whether White House doctor Kevin O’Connor had anything to do with $200,000 that appeared in Joe Biden’s bank account after his brother, James Biden, wrote Joe Biden a check for that amount. Just before the check, James Biden had received a $200,000 wire transfer from the now-bankrupt company Americore.
Americore is a for-profit company that runs rural hospitals and is now in Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The president’s brother James Biden told Congress in February that Kevin O’Connor, the White House doctor, worked as a consultant for Americore and concentrated on developing plans to get more patients into the chain’s hospitals.
But it’s not just potentially shady financial deals that Comer wants to know about from O’Connor. The Committee chair is also skeptical of O’Connor’s medical judgment. In a written statement, Comer refers to Biden’s “concerning debate performance” on June 27th. During the debate, Biden was obviously struggling with cognitive issues. His words were frequently incoherent in meaning, and it was difficult to understand his speech because of how much the President slurred. At times he stared open-mouthed at his opponent Donald Trump as if he did not know where he was.
Comer wrote that Americans, journalists, and even fellow Democrats are alarmed at the president’s mental state and worry he is incapable of leading the U.S. Yet physician O’Connor said in February that Biden was a “healthy, active, robust 81-year-old male” perfectly fit to carry out the office of president.
Comer also noted to O’Connor that recent reports say he never advised Biden to take a cognitive, and the Committee worries that O’Connor’s medical judgment has been heavily influenced by his involvement in “private business endeavors” with the Biden family.
O’Connor is facing a request from the Committee to sit for an interview about his medical assessments of the president. Chairman Comer also wants answers from O’Connor about whether he is truly independent and capable of accurately assessing the president’s fitness. O’Connor should turn over all communications and documents relating to Americore and the president’s brother James, as well, Comer wrote.
