Teenager Beaten to Death by Angry Mob of 15

(TargetDailyNews.com) – A teenager in Las Vegas is dead after an angry pack of bullies beat him to death for defending a smaller friend who had been tossed into a trash can. Jonathan Lewis, 17, was a student at Rancho High School in Las Vegas. He died on Tuesday, November 13th from his injuries after being savagely attacked by a group of more than a dozen other teenagers on November 1st.

The GoFundMe page set up by his family states that Lewis had attempted to retrieve stolen property from the pack of 15 who had just assaulted and robbed his friend.

Viral footage showed Lewis conversing with one of the bullies before attacking him physically. The rest of the pack swarmed on him, knocking him to the ground and kicking him repeatedly.

Additional video showed one of Lewis’ friends attempting to peel the attackers off of him before getting punched in the back of the head himself, causing him to retreat. Some of the bullies peeled off to continue to attack his friend, chasing him and hitting him until he fell. He was similarly barraged by a group of punches and kicks from the pack.

Lewis’ girlfriend confirmed the story on the GoFundMe page, saying that Lewis was attempting to stand up for his smaller friend.

Police found Lewis bleeding from his head, and paramedics rushed to administer aid. He was transported to the hospital and put on life support but ultimately succumbed to the damage caused by the attack.

His father said they left him on life support for several days, hoping he would recover. He hoped the tragic loss of his son could further highlight the dangers of violence among youth. He said that investigators with Las Vegas PD said they planned to make arrests and charge the individuals involved in killing Jonathan. Eight juveniles have been arrested at the time of writing.

His family described him as a loving and gentle young man who was an aspiring artist and a devoted big brother who fiercely protected the people he loved.
