Steve Bannon’s Live Show Interrupted by Former President Trump

(TargetDailyNews.com) – War Room host Steve Bannon’s recent interview with Arizona Senate candidate Kari Lake was interrupted by a phone call from former President Donald Trump. Bannon answered his phone while live on air after asking Lake to briefly hold on. Bannon addressed Trump as “Mr. President” before asking if he could return his call.

War Room Chief Financial Officer Grace Chong posted on X saying that Trump replied by saying “Love War Room, call me back.” Lake laughed and smiled after realizing it was Trump on the phone.

Lake and Bannon have been incredibly vocal defenders of Trump’s policies and positions, including that the 2020 election was unfairly rigged to favor then-challenger Joe Biden. Bannon and Trump both spoke during a convention for Turning Point Action just a few days prior in Detroit.

Bannon’s speech blasted Biden for being a “feckless, hapless old man” and suggested the current miasma of crises from the wars in the Middle East and Ukraine to the southern border and the economy would not be happening if the country had a strong leader. Bannon suggested strong decisive leadership was required in the Oval Office.

Bannon also reiterated numerous policy proposals popular with Trump supporters and the man himself, which would be pursued by a future Trump administration. He said the southern border crisis would be solved, that the FBI would be dismantled, and that tax cuts would be extended. He also added that Trump intends to free all January 6th political prisoners.

Bannon himself will be a political prisoner in short order, he was convicted on a contempt of Congress charge for his failure to appear when subpoenaed by former Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s January 6th Committee. Bannon and other conservatives consistently criticized the committee for being a political kangaroo court pushing a political agenda to demonize and cast blame on Trump for the events on January 6th.

Journalists pursuing a more objective analysis of that day have consistently highlighted questionable actions by the FBI and local authorities, suggesting that the riot and discovery of two pipe bombs were planned in advance by political and law enforcement partisans. One major effect was that anyone criticizing the results of the 2020 election was suddenly considered a potential extremist instead of an American exercising their First Amendment rights.
