Democrats Accused Of Provoking Trump Attack

(TargetDailyNews.com) – Democrat rhetoric is coming into the spotlight after an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump by a 20-year-old shooter left one man dead and others injured at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on July 13. Some corporate pundits attempted to frame criticism of the left’s rhetoric as having the potential to incite further violence.

Georgia state representative Mike Collins (R) highlighted comments by President Joe Biden wherein he suggested putting “Trump in a bullseye” during a fundraising call on July 8, just five days prior to Thomas Crooks opening fire and clipping Trump in the ear. The full quote is, “We’re done talking about the debate, it’s time to put Trump in a bullseye.” Take that how you will.

While Democrat apologists rush to point out Biden was speaking metaphorically, they have previously made similar claims about Republican rhetoric. Generally, suggesting specific acts of violence, like literally targeting a political opponent with a weapon, is considered incitement.

Texas state representative Ronny Jackson is also a former White House Physician and Navy Rear Admiral. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Jackson blamed the rhetoric of “left wing lunatics” on corporate media outlets as “DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE” (emphasis his) for the assassination attempt. He additionally called for an end to violent rhetoric and demonization of political enemies.

Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) highlighted that the attempt on Trump’s life wasn’t an “isolated incident.” He argued that the Biden campaign’s “central premise” is that Trump is an anti-democratic potential dictator and an existential threat to the country. He said this style of rhetoric directly led to the assassination attempt. Vance was also recently announced as Trump’s choice for running mate and potential future vice president.

Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) suggested the attempt on Trump’s life was “aided and abetted” by corporate leftist media and their push that Trump is some kind of Hilter-like authoritarian dictator.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) directly blamed “the Democrats and media” for the injuries and life lost during the attempt on Trump’s life. She suggested years of demonization of Trump and those who support him led directly to the incident.
