(TargetDailyNews.com) – One Texas lawmaker is suggesting that the Biden administration has violated federal immigration law over 18 million times in the three years he’s been in office. Texas State Representative Brian Harrison speaking with Newsmax on Thursday, January 25th said that over six million illegals have come into the country illegally thanks to President Joe Biden.
As previous chief of staff with the Department of Health and Human Services during the Trump administration, Harrison was aware of at least three federal laws off the top of his head that Biden was violating per every instance of an illegal crossing. That makes a whopping total of 18 million criminal violations for President Joe Biden.
Harrison suggested Biden was audacious in his attempt to stop Texas from defending itself and preventing millions more from coming into the country illegally. He highlighted how Biden’s argument is that Texas is somehow violating the law when the opposite is actually the case.
The Supreme Court (SCOTUS) issued a ruling on Monday, January 22nd that the Border Patrol has the authority to remove razor wire fencing installed by the Texas National Guard on the banks of the Rio Grande to deter illegal crossings. They cited Article 4, Section 4 of the Constitution which exclusively grants the federal government authority to enforce immigration law.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott issued a statement in response to the ruling that also cited the highest law of the land. Abbott argued that the millions of illegals coming over the southern border constituted an invasion. He then cited Article 1, Section 10, Clause 3 which grants states the right to defend themselves in the event of an invasion.
Abbott said he’s continuing to install razor wire fencing, despite the SCOTUS ruling. A Texas law put into effect on March 5th also made it a state crime to enter the state illegally by avoiding official ports of entry. Repeat offenses carry up to 20 years in prison as the maximum penalty. Biden’s DOJ is challenging the law.
Harrison suggested it was up to Texas to stand up to the criminal Biden administration and to enforce the laws Biden will not.
