(TargetDailyNews.com) – President Joe Biden mixed up the President of Egypt by mistakenly referring to him as the President of Mexico during comments given to reporters on the evening of February 8th after the release of a damning report from Special Counsel Robert Hur.
Hur was tasked with investigating whether or not President Biden (then Senator or Vice-President) had broken the law concerning how he handled and disclosed classified information after multiple caches of classified documents were discovered at Biden’s homes and offices and details were shared with the ghostwriter for his memoir. The story broke just months after Biden’s DOJ had initiated a raid at Mar-A-Lago over claims that Trump was engaged in similar behavior.
Hur’s report suggested that while Biden may be criminally liable, it’s not worth prosecution because a conviction is unlikely, in large part due to Biden’s “poor memory.” The report additionally suggested Biden would come across as a “sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man” if put through a trial.
Biden’s press conference occurred just hours after Hur released his report and on the same day, Tucker Carlson dropped his infamous interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin. February 8 also saw oral arguments before the SCOTUS in the Colorado case to keep Trump off the ballot; rumor quickly emerged that Trump is set to receive a victory in that ordeal.
During the presser, Biden made an error in referring to the President of Egypt, calling him the President of Mexico in comments regarding the release of aid across the Egypt-Gaza border. Critics highlighted the gaffe as further evidence of Biden’s failing memory.
Trump’s campaign responded by suggesting Biden was “weak and sad,” those comments coming from Trump campaign senior advisor Chris LaCivita. Jason Miller, another Trump team member, suggested that the report was being dismissed by the Biden administration, despite damning details about the President’s mental acuity.
Trump himself has had a few mix-ups, suggesting his age is starting to catch up with him as well. In January, Trump suggested his primary opponent Nikki Haley was responsible for security on January 6th, 2021. Trump had meant former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).
