Alabama Policewoman Tases Crying Handcuffed Man in Disturbing Encounter

(TargetDailyNews.com) – What might have been a routine drug-trafficking arrest in Alabama on December 2nd turned violent when a cop and the man she was arresting got into a screaming match that ended with the officer tasering the man and both parties screaming obscenities at each other.

Police have not released the female officer’s name or the suspect she arrested. However, a local news outlet identified the arrested man as 24-year-old Micah Washington. According to AL.com, the officer’s name is Dana Elmore.

A viral video circulating on social media shows the police officer arresting a man on the side of a road, somewhere near the town of Reform, Alabama. The local district attorney said the man was being arrested on charges of trafficking fentanyl. Fentanyl is a synthetic opiate that is 100 times more potent by weight than morphine. A surprisingly small amount is enough to kill a grown adult.

During the arrest, the cop ordered the man to lie down on the front of his car while she handcuffed him. As she searched his pockets, the cop ordered the man to “stay still.” That’s when things kicked off.

The suspect responded, “I ain’t doin’ s**t, bro,” while also notifying the officer that he had a gun in his pocket. Laughing, the cop pulled the gun from the suspect’s pocket before saying, “Oh yeah” and stunning the handcuffed man with the taser gun.

As the man cried in pain, the officer ordered him to “shut the f*** up”. Then she asked him if he wanted to be tased again. The man only cried, and in response, the officer yelled at the man to “shut your b**** a** up” as she tased him several more times. The man can be heard whimpering and repeatedly saying, “Oh my God.”

Both the mayor of Reform, Melody Davis, and the chief of police, Richard Black, acknowledged that they had seen the video. In a statement released after the incident, they described the situation as a “citizen’s arrest.” The statement said local officials are giving all materials related to the arrest to the Alabama State Bureau of Investigation, and have requested a thorough review of the incident.

The arresting officer has been put on leave until the investigation is completed.

Media reports indicate the suspect, Washington, is being held in jail on multiple charges related to drugs and resisting arrest.
